small area of woodland with a pathways throughout. The chateau
lies at the edge of a small village which has a small shop and bar and
is within 5 miles in either direction of small towns with good sized
modern supermarkets and restaurants.
The large towns of Niort and Fontenay with extensive shopping and dining facilities are within 20 and 30 minutes respectively.
The coastal towns of La Rochelle and Les Sable DŽOlonne are 50 and
60 miles distant whilst lake and beach with supervised bathing areas
are within 15 minutes drive.
The modern theme park of Futurescope is one hour away at Poitiers
whilst an abundance of chateaus lie an hour to the north in the Loire
